I try and go to the city whenever I can…it just has a great atmosphere to be in. I love exploring and getting lost and it seems like you are pretty similar in that regard. I love going to the Space Needle, the museums, and Pike Market just to name a few activities.
Single Steve / How to Write the Perfect First Message - Single Steve
I really liked your profile! I realize this might look like not enough but for me keeping it short like this worked well in first emails.

Hi there, how are you? How do you enjoy teaching in the city? I recently moved to Seattle for work from Texas and I really love it here so far. You seem like the kind of energetic, open person I might get along with. I love staying busy, and I can usually have fun doing just about anything. I really want to go to the city as much as I can. Would you like to chat sometime…or since you like brunch so much, maybe meet in the city at somepoint?
A teacher in the city? Would you want to grab a coffee together sometime? Again, I just shorten things a lot here. Hi, how do you do? You have a great outlook on life, and it seems like a good head on your shoulders. I like to mix up my going out and relaxing nights at home, and always wanted to go sky diving or hang gliding or something along those lines. As with the earlier emails, I felt this email had too much of him describing himself and describing what he saw in her. Here I started with his basic premise but also ended with that.
Still, as I was writing this I came up with my title and liked it a bit better…but either would work well in my opinion. Then trim down what you wrote like I did. If you get a response, go back to the first email you wrote and send the rest of it to her. I suggest this because I would hate to see my advice to shorten an email somehow stifle what makes someone unique.
One trick I shared with my reader was this: I would use an very different photo, though. At any rate, I felt this would give him a good opportunity to see if my advice actually worked and I suspect doing the same could also work for many of my other readers. Online Dating Email Tips: Yeah, I once had a guy change his profile pic every few months or so and contacted me again…and again, and again. I knew it was him lol. Be honest, does it fucking matter? I wonder how many good, lasting relationships started with a copy and pasted message he sent to 15 other women that same night.
You were just a number in his numbers game, he just happened to be attractive. God, I hated online dating because of that crap.
First Message Strategy #1: Go For Laughs
Your messages are nice. Well then you must be a bitch. Guys are the worst. Your messages were respond-worthy, and I always take the time to actually…. I do believe I could write a book about the bizarre experiences and people I met. Feedback on your messages: I actually looked it up just to be sure.
Please continue to be a conscientious dater and instruct others. I have single friends out there who would like to find a good one. I hope I spelled that long word right. But when I do, I delete that shit with the quickness. Remember that time I messaged you on okcupid and I told you to get hit by a bus? Oh dear, if only this had been posted before I quit online dating. Your messages were really good Steve, thoughtful and sounds like you took the time to tell them stuff you have in common. You will find a great girl, I know it!
I totally agree with your advice Steve. They all are interesting and the ones I choose would seem cool-only if they would respond! I guess the only flaw is that you should ask at most 2 questions. Your site is funny and true, btw. You may not realize it, but you have at least one spelling or grammar error on each of your messages. You want to sound fun, not formulaic. You have an MBA, right? Online dating is an exercise in marketing. What is your target demographic?
What are their needs? What does your brand have to offer?
I never even reply to those either…. I have done this Steve… And I believe I have done this very well. I get no responses from the Ladies I try to converse with.

Although I have received some very interesting responses to my profile. But it seems my appeal for those ladies commenting on my profile is just not there.

But why do I attract the hunchbacks of notre dame? Love your site man but you are trying too hard. The bottom line is no matter how creative you are the woman wants to see what you look like and how tall you are. Even if you pass those requirements you have to message her first and it does not matter what you say. Shallow yes but women are no different. Notify me of follow-up comments by email.
Notify me of new posts by email. I decided to write about this topic for two reasons. Guys need to know that when they send super generic messages, women can tell they copied and pasted that exact message to lots of other women.
