AntonioSoares 23 Posted 04 June - In my experience, the SU 85i has the opposite of preferential mm, I always seem to be on the bottom tier when I play it. RedBarchetta3 24 Posted 04 June - Thanks, interesting to see all of the info in one place.
CptCheez 25 Posted 04 June - RedBarchetta3 26 Posted 04 June - Because due to its extremely good pen, it doesn't need it. Psyberius 27 Posted 04 June - Androyce 28 Posted 06 June - Why are the T-2, M3, T and A on the list? So the battle tiers they can be assigned to are currently identical to any other tanks of their tier. Are they just included in the case that matchmaking is changed? What is the other tier 8 heavy for the USSR? It's above jagtiger 8,8.
Welcome to Reddit,
Is it possible to get a credit multiplier for all premium tanks, or is that too top-secret to release? Keeping the damage further in check is a poor. On bright spot is that the reload time is 4. Overall the T has high damage potential for a tier 8 premium medium tank with its damage round and decent damage per minute. However, it sacrifices a lot in the accuracy department and penetration to achieve this that prevents it from engaging a lot of tanks head on even with HEAT rounds.
Below the T is compared to the Type 59 and T in the primary firepower values.
Weak points of T-34-2
T Damage 4. Type 59 Damage 6. T Damage 7. Going off of the comparison above the T is on par with both the Type 59 and T in most areas aside from accuracy and aiming time. All three tanks have similar damage per minute DPM and penetration which is surprising since the T has a significant advantage in the damage per round area. On the hull the T has 90mm across the upper frontal glacis and 70mm on the lower frontal glacis.

- T-34-2 is better than the T-34-3;
Its turret front is covered mostly by mm thick armor with the weaker hatches on top being protected by mm of armor. This gives the T the ability to bounce most shells thrown at it aside from the lower glacis by tier 7 and under tanks. Below the T is compared to the Type 59 and T in the hull armor and turret armor areas.

The clear winner here is the Type 59 when you go off of raw thickness and the T is far behind its peers. The T however has almost the same effective armor on its frontal glacis as the Type 59 due to its slope and overall the difference is negligible. Unfortunately accuracy of the Chinese gun is even lower than similar Soviet guns. Turret armor is strong like similar tanks. One of the best ways to play this tank is to find a shell hole or depression in the ground and sit it in while only exposing your turret armor and watching the other teams shots just bounce.
Just remember to move before arty gets you.
If you can't find a hole to hide in, play carefully as your hull armor while good, it won't save you in a brawl with other tanks. If you do find yourself in a brawl, try to keep your very thin side armor covered so they have to shoot your turret.
Also try not to get flanked as while you have decent mobility, other tanks have better and can circle you to death by shooting you weak side armor. With your low pen with basic ammo, try to hit weak spots or shoot tanks in the side. If you try to circle them, don't get tracked or you will die fast as your reload is slow compared to other tanks. Facehugging can be a viable tactic while using this tank, especially against opponents with bad gun depression.
Because of its long reload, having a shell rammer is a must for this tank.
