Had to spend about 3 hours with a multimeter fixing the pedals control port. I ended up completely removing the port and replacing it with a USB port, and same to the pedal control cable. Worked like a charm. The shifter knob also seemed to be missing, so I still need to find something for that, but it works. So my original intention was never to simply play this thing on the PlayStation 2, but to use a couple adapters I have to play it on my PlayStation 3 and Xbox The first adapter I have will let me use the MC2 on ps3 and , but requires a wired controller to be plugged in with it on startup on the Works like a charm.
My second adapter is strictly PS2 to , and works well too, and has a switch that goes from controller to racing wheel. I'll get to that later though. The only manual I could find online is for the universal ps2, Xbox, and GameCube wheel. In the manual it states that only the shifter and "pedals" are programmable. This is not the case with the ps2 version. Unless that is a typo, because the "paddles" are programmable.
The fact that the pedals are dedicated to R-Stick up and down may be a problem with many games cross-platform. I was particularly interested if it could be used with Forza 4. Luckily there is an option control 12 to use the R-stick! Unfortunately with either of the adapters I could not get the vibration function to work on Programming and calibration functions are both very decent, although it seems that the shifter stick is routed to up and down respectively on the D-pad. So in Forza 4, before and after a race if I intend on using the shifter instead of the paddles, I have to program it.
This is fairly easy to do. You simply push program, then shift up or down, then push the button desired to be mapped to that shifter movement. Then to reset that shifter's movement, push program, then double press the shifter in the same movement. This works the same with all face buttons and paddles.

The paddles are sturdy, and when pulled in are by default mapped to R1 and L1. And can be pushed out to function as R3 and L3 the analogue stick click buttons.

This works great in Gran Turismo 6 when using high beams or windshield wipers. The adapter has a switch specifically for racing wheels, but all it seems to do for me is remap the buttons and make the pedals not work.
Looks as though it assumes all ps2 racing wheels have gas and brake mapped to the X and O buttons. The wheel itself is very sturdy, and the rubber gripping feels great in your hands. I never use the leg "grabbers" because I immediately mounted this thing to my rig. The pedals apparently have a weight inside to help keep it from sliding around.
Unfortunately the rubber feet came off when I was repairing the pedals, so now it likes to slide all over. That'll be an easy fix though. The "tachometer" of the dash looks awesome, and shows your pressure on the gas pedal.

This came very much in handy when I was rewiring the pedals and trying to find a proper ground. All together, the MC2 is all aces for my cross platform racing. I got this specifically for the realistic driving recommendation from other reviewers. I used it for Grand Turismo A-spec mostly, but I have to say - once you get it tuned to a manner you are accustomed to which took a little more time and effort than implied by the very brief setup instructions - it really does behave similar to a real car.
Make sure you mount the wheel on a flat, stable surface with the sticky pads or it will mess up your driving. Also, the lap fixture works just fine, but an intense game might leave you with a leg cramp from flexing while you make tricky corners. It was not clean and it was very nasty other than that works good. Not bad but shift lever don't work. I was a little dissapointed in this. Okay, I would like to clear up the misconception that this pedal does not work with Gran Turismo 3.
It does in fact work, and very well. It just needs to be set in-game.

Also, the distance that needs to be traveled for turning force can be adjusted. If you have the adjustment problem, just read the manual. If you cant get it to work with GT3 it is'nt very complicated you can just e-mail me and I will gladly send you instructions. Well, I have bought the wheel for GT3 and was curious about the content and facts of these reviews I would like to go someway to putting he record straight: The only game I have found the wheel difficult to configure for is Driver.
Unfortunately this is more to do with the programming of the game as opposed to the wheel itself due to the lack of controllable options in the game. It will work porperly but without the pedals. The following games I have all work fine maybe with a little tweaking though. See all 22 reviews. Pages with related products. See and discover other items: This one has to be walked to be believed.
