Rev. Tony Lee is a nationally recognized pastor, visionary leader, and change agent who founded the Community of Hope A.M.E. Church in Hillcrest Heights, Maryland. Under his leadership, Community of Hope has become a trailblazer in innovative ministry, urban evangelism, and holistic community empowerment—garnering national acclaim for its work in HIV/AIDS awareness, gun violence prevention, police-community relations, and educational justice.

Rev. Lee also serves as Program Director of Hope In Action, a leading gun violence prevention initiative in Prince George’s County, and sits on the boards of the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation, the Black church Pac and the Howard University School of Divinity’s Board of Visitors. A passionate communicator, he is the host of the popular Sunday morning gospel radio show Sunday Morning Hope on WPGC 95.5 FM, where faith meets real life every week.

Rev. Lee’s work has been featured in the award-winning documentary The Gospel of Healing and the books Being A Black Man: At the Corner of Progress and Peril, Reach: 40 Black Men Speak on Living, Loving & Succeeding, and West Wingers, in which Heather Foster highlights his work in a chapter on civic engagement and hope.

A lifelong learner and innovator, Rev. Lee holds degrees from the University of Maryland, College Park (B.S.) and Union Theological Seminary in New York City (M.Div.).

He is also the founder of Hope Media, a forward-thinking multimedia company dedicated to developing digital tools and compelling content that promote mental wellness, spiritual growth, and social change. Through Hope Media, he leads initiatives such as Hopefull, a mental health video app, and a growing portfolio of AI-driven platforms. Hope Media also specializes in impactful video storytelling and has produced two Telly Award-winning projects, cementing its reputation for excellence in media production that inspires, educates, and transforms communities.
